On June 28, 2019 FERC published its Notice of Availability of the Draft Environmental Impact Statement (DEIS) for the Alaska LNG Project proposed by the Alaska Gasline Development Corporation. The draft EIS assesses the potential environmental effects of the construction and operation of the Alaska LNG Project in accordance with the requirements of the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA). Besides FERC, other cooperating agencies participating in the preparation of the DEIS include National Park Service, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, U.S. Department of Transportation Pipeline and Hazardous Material Safety Administration, U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, U.S. Coast Guard, Bureau of Land Management, U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, National Marine Fisheries Service and U.S. Department of Energy.
