Draft Environmental Impact Statement – On June 28, 2019 FERC published its Notice of Availability of the Draft Environmental Impact Statement (DEIS) for the Alaska LNG Project proposed by the Alaska Gasline Development Corporation. The draft EIS assesses the potential environmental effects of the construction and operation of the Alaska LNG Project in accordance with the requirements of the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA).

On July 8, 2019 the official notification of the issuance of the Draft EIS was published in the Federal Register. Public input has been vital in finalizing the resource reports. The project team will begin addressing the 3,000+ public comments compiled from the reports as they prepare to submit a Natural Gas Act Section 3 application to the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) in 2017.
